Create a property alert or market snapshot for a lead — a saved search Lofty emails the lead on a schedule.

```js theme={null}
create_saved_search({ lead_id, fields })
```

| Parameter | Required | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| `lead_id` | Yes | The lead the saved search belongs to. |
| `fields` | Yes | The new saved search — the same body as [Create saved search](/api-reference/leads/create-saved-search). `category` (`PROPERTY_ALERT`/`MARKET_SNAPSHOT`), `name`, `alertFrequency` and `criteria` are required; `schedule`, `recipientEmails`, `emailSubject`, `sendCopyToAgent` and `sendFirstEmailNow` are optional. |

> [!WARNING]
>
> **A `PROPERTY_ALERT` emails the lead its first alert right away** unless `fields.sendFirstEmailNow` is `false`. Pass `false` when you only want to save the search.

Returns the stored saved search, id included. A rejected write comes back as `{code, message}` — check the code, not just the call status.

Never asks for [confirmation](/mcp/guides/confirmation-tiers). Read a lead's saved searches back with [`search_leads`](/mcp/tools/search-leads) (`scope: "saved_searches"`, `lead_id`).
