# update_saved_search

> Change the name, schedule, filters, recipients or other settings of a lead's saved searches.

> [!WARNING]

> **WRITE** · 1 operation · may change data

Change the name, schedule, filters, recipients or other settings of one or more of a lead's saved searches (property alerts and market snapshots).

```js theme={null}
update_saved_search({ lead_id, ids, fields })
```

| Parameter | Required | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| `lead_id` | Yes | The lead the saved searches belong to. |
| `ids` | Yes | Numeric saved search ids, up to 10. Every id gets the same `fields`. |
| `fields` | Yes | The fields to change — any of those [Create saved search](/api-reference/leads/create-saved-search) takes, except `category`. |

Partial update: only the fields you send change, with one exception — **`criteria`, when sent, replaces every filter**, so send the full set of filters you want to keep. `category` can't be changed on an existing saved search; delete it and [create](/mcp/tools/create-saved-search) a new one instead. Changing `alertFrequency` may also reset `schedule`, and setting it to `NEVER` pauses the search the same way [`pause_saved_searches`](/mcp/tools/pause-saved-searches) does.

Returns a `results` array, one entry per saved search id. Never asks for [confirmation](/mcp/guides/confirmation-tiers).
